"Wartime Faith"

Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, 8:30 am PST, TBN
This week's in-studio guest: LCdr Fr Christopher Merris, USN, Catholic Chaplain

Our men and women in uniform are serving our country in ways many of us can never even imagine. They are deployed overseas over long periods away from their families and homes. It is a very challenging life they live but they serve proudly.

In this episode, Fr. Mike and LCdr Fr. Christopher Merris talk about the spiritual challenges our military people face as they strive to do their jobs in wartime and how the Catholic Church is working to keep them strong in the faith.

"THE POWER OF LOVE" is a weekly TV show from Wordnet Productions that is hosted by Fr. Mike Manning, SVD. It is broadcast on TBN every Wednesday at 8:30 am, on the Armed Forces Network, as well as in Catholic networks in Boston, Brooklyn, Detroit, Fresno, Scranton, Yonkers, Youngstown.

The Wordnet mission: "Embracing the transforming power of the Gospel, we communicate the Word of God to all people through the media in the spirit of the Society of the Divine Word."
